Deen Dayal Divyangjan Sahajya Scheme: Assam Govt has launched this scheme for Person with Disabilities (PWDs) to provide financial help of ₹ 5,000 in the state.
Under this scheme, those people who are differently-abled will get the financial motivation to grow in their mindset. They can able to live their dreams. However, the scheme has a tagline of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas“.

DDDS Scheme or Deen Dayal Divyangjan Sahajya is for the PWDs in the state to avail ₹ 5,000 one time financial assistance regarding their treatment. So, that they are not treated as sympathy rather they get empathy.

Eligibility of the scheme
As I have said the benefits are for the PWDs of the state, so only those people are eligible for the scheme. So, govt will select them officially and provide them with their grant directly at the bank.

The main benefit of the scheme is to provide one time grant of ₹ 5,000 to the beneficiary. However, there are certain other features you should check. Those are-
- PWDs will get Rs. 5,000 as a one-time benefit.
- Govt has focused on the lifestyle and attitude of differently-abled persons and to change it positively.
- Easy loans can be accepted for PWDs by the banks.
- Assam govt will ensure to receive benefits under other schemes too.
The scheme has a budget of Rs. 250 crores under which 1 lakh people are to be benefitted in the first phase. These will give the strength for them to stand in this world.

How to apply for Deen Dayal Divyangjan Sahajya Scheme?
There is no application process required to be eligible for this scheme. Additionally, Assam govt has left this on the hand of govt officials to select the Person with Disabilities to handover the grant. While they said, they will under process the scheme in phases, and if you don’t receive the benefit under Phase I then you should wait for the Second Phase.
